How this site is funded
Two things pay for this calculator: one advertising unit, and — where there is something genuinely worth pointing at — affiliate links. This page says what that means, because a tool whose whole claim is that it does the arithmetic honestly should be equally plain about who is paying for the arithmetic.
Affiliate links
There are currently no affiliate links on this site. The mechanism is built and switched off; this page exists so that it cannot be switched on without the disclosure already being in place. When that changes, this paragraph changes with it — it is generated from the same file that decides whether a link renders.

What money is not allowed to change
- Not the numbers. Every caffeine figure comes from a cited source — a USDA record, a published authority, or an honest estimate that the content marks as an estimate. No commercial arrangement adds, removes or moves a single milligram.
- Not the answer the tool gives you. The cutoff is arithmetic over your own inputs. Nothing about it is tuned to make any product look necessary.
- Not what gets recommended. A link is here because it is a real answer to something the page just told you — a decaffeinated coffee when your cutoff has passed, a tracker on the page that explains why cycle averages are averages. Not because a program pays more.
- Not what gets left out. Supplements, melatonin and sleep aids are deliberately absent, and would be absent at any commission. These pages state that they are information rather than medical advice; selling a sleep product underneath that sentence would make it untrue.
Advertising
One unit, in the article body, below the fold. It is served by Google AdSense. If you decline the consent request, it is chosen from the page you are reading rather than from anything about you — see the cookies page for what that does and does not store, and the privacy page for everything else.
If you would rather not contribute either way, use the tool and ignore both. It works the same, it works offline, and there is nothing to sign up for. That is not generosity — it is the only version of this that would be worth linking to.
